8.5” wide x 6” tall
13 sc and 12 rows = 4”
ch(s) – chain(s), st(s) – stitch(es), sl st – slip stitch, sc – single crochet, RS – right side, yo – yarn over
beginning star (beginning star stitch) = ch 3, pull up a loop in 2nd ch from hook, in 3rd ch from hook, in base of ch, and in next 2 sts (6 loops on hook), yo and pull through all loops on hook.
star (star stitch) = ch 2, pull up a loop in 2nd ch from hook, in center of previous star, in last st of previous star, and in next 2 sts (6 loops on hook), yo and pull through all loops on hook.
- Single crochet sections are worked in continuous rounds. Use a stitch marker to mark 1st st of each round.
Round 1 (RS): Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in next 24, 3 sc in last, rotate to work in opposite side of beginning ch, sc in next 23, 3 sc in last—54 sc.
Round 2: Sc in each st around—54 sc.
Round 3-4 Repeat Round 2.
Round 5: Sl st in next, beginning star, star around, ch 1, sl st to 1st star to join—27 stars.
Round 6: Ch 1 (not a st), 2 sc in each star center around—54 sc.
Rounds 7-10: Repeat Round 2.
Rounds 11-12: Repeat Rounds 5-6.
Rounds 13-16: Repeat Round 2.
Round 17: Sl st in each st around.
Fasten off and weave in ends. With needle and matching thread, sew zipper to inside of Clutch. Attach charm or zipper pull to zipper.
