My First Knitted Cowl- A Free Knitting Pattern

I absolutely love to knit. It’s relaxing, it’s stress relieving, it’s….just wonderful. And the chunkier the knit the better! 
I designed this beginner cowl pattern for anyone who is just learning how to knit. It’s very easy to make, and the result is so beautiful! Whip up your ‘My First Knitted Cowl’ pattern by following the directions below. Happy knitting!

Materials Needed:
Size 12.5 knitting needles
Size 4.5 knitting needles.
(A) 2 Balls of Bernat Mega Bulky Yarn in Eucalyptus
(B) A small amount of Red Heart Comfort Yarn in New Cream
Yarn needle.


With (A) and size 12.5 needles
Cast on 18
Rows 1-44: K18 across – 18
Row 45: Cast off 18 – 18
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Sew Row 1 to Row 45.

With (B) and size 4.5 needles
Cast on 22
Rows 1-9: K22 across – 22
Row 10: Cast off 22 – 22
Fasten off, weave in ends. With a small amount of (B) cinch the center of your rectangle and sew to cowl.
